The Rode Complete Studio Kit combines the AI-1 USB audio interface with the NT1 cardioid condenser microphone, the SMR advanced shockmount with pop filter, a premium XLR cable, a USB cable, and a copy of Ableton Live Lite to create an all-in-one solution for recording vocals and instruments in a project studio or while on the go.
The Rode AI-1 is a studio-quality audio interface well suited for recording vocals, instruments, and voice-overs into your Mac or Windows computer. The interface features a single, combo XLR-1/4" input with phantom power, two balanced 1/4" monitor outputs, and a single, discrete, studio-quality headphone output and level control. The device can operate in zero-latency monitoring mode, which connects the preamp directly to the headphone output for delay-free performance while recording. With the headphone input engaged, the two monitor outputs are bypassed. To engage the monitor outputs, simply remove the headphone plug from the jack.
The rugged aluminum body is finished with a satin black finish and features large rubber feet, which prevents the desktop interface from sliding about when engaged. The class compliant AI-1 requires no drivers and features a USB-C connector, which not only connect to your computer, but also provides powers as well. The Rode AI-1 ships with a USB cable and a license for Ableton Live Lite.
The NT1 Cardioid Condenser Microphone from RODE is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone that features RODE's HF6 1" capsule. The HF6 is designed to provide a detailed midrange response with smooth highs and warm bass. The capsule itself is seated in a Rycote Lyre internal shockmount to help reduce vibration and handling noises.
The microphone's electronics were designed from the ground-up for quiet performance, and allow the NT1 to have a low, 4.5 dB of self-noise. The body of the mic is machined from nickel-plated aluminum that is then coated in a ceramic layer that is electrostatically applied for a scratch-resistant finish. The NT1 includes the RM2 mic clip and has a 1-year limited warranty that extends to 10-years after registration with RODE.
The Rode SMR is a professional-grade shock mount for large diaphragm condenser mics. Featuring a double-Lyre suspension system, the SMR enhances Rycote’s Lyre system by using a smaller inner Lyre to act as a tensioning element.
The SMR's removable all-metal pop filter provides an integrated solution for plosive protection, that is washable and designed to last as long as the shock mount and microphone. The SMR's clamping system design utilizes a large surface area, allowing for ample friction and weight handling, without the need for over-tightening of the locking thread. With the load distributed over a greater surface area, the clamping system is designed to better withstand the wear and tear of repeated use.
The SMR's frame is made from an engineering grade reinforced polymer. Vibration force is evenly distributed around the outer frame via the wide mounting rails, increasing the effectiveness of the Lyre system.
A base nut is also included, suitable for all compatible Rode microphones.
